This is kind of a big day in Beers and B-movies history. Today, I review, for the first time, a Roger Corman flick.
I can safely say that without his contributions to cinema, I wouldn’t be doing this blog today. This dude is one of the original producers of awful b-movies.
So, thank you, Mr. Corman. You can also go eat a dick.
Who’s this guy, posting on time and consistently. Oh, wait, it’s me. This week, I decided that it was too nice of a night to watch a movie alone, so I invited my buddy Dave over to enjoy a film and my apartment’s liquor.
It makes me feel better about my own drinking when I have a friend I can pressure into chugging tequila with me. It gives off the illusion that these are normal things that normal people do, and that they are in no way the sad attempts of a 22 year old man-child to continue his college lifestyle well into his adulthood.
Because they’re not.
Let’s get this out of the way first. Sincere apologies for falling this far behind. That said, two things. One, I’ve been dealing with this thing called graduation, apparently it’s kind of a big thing. Like a bar-mitzvah for the 22-year-old set. Two, if my experience at Northwestern has taught me anything, it’s that a somewhat talented theatre major who has just graduated can expect to have a lot of spare time. Poverty and unemployment are two things that don’t really keep you all that busy.
So in honor of my graduation, here’s a review of a shitty movie and a nice beer that I did like weeks ago but never wrote up.
Guest starring my friend Shannon.
